i agree with this, but i dont start a focused attack againt Rabaul untill i can gain bases for p-38 and corsiar's can supply escort.. then go for the kill

I'll run the 24's and 17s in in day light and run them high enough that the CAP does very little damage, I'm not ripping things apart of the overall effect of the strikes are worth the losses. As much as I hate micromanaging things I will alternate squadrons to sustain a constant barrage on Rabaul.

Japanese fighters are just about worthless against the B-17 formations in UV.  As a matter of fact the B-17 early in the game is one of the Allies best fighters!  [:D]
