That moron makes Americans look stupid. He should be glad that David even included the option to play American style football. I wonder if has ever watched a full game AFL or CFL football in his life. The NFL is not the only good football out there and might not even be the best.

Ok boys, enough of this CFL vs NFL stuff. The old guy on the forum might have to turn some of you younguns over his knee and whup you.

Everybody knows that Southeastern Conference football is the best game in town.

I can honestly take or leave the NFL. I watch pro football occasionally- generally when the Colts are on because of Peyton Manning. To me there's too much crap ( Terrell Owens, Randy Moss, Pacman Jones, etc) in the pro game. If I had access to CFL football, I'd probably watch it because MaxFB has kindled an interest in it for me. As I said in an earlier post, my first hand experience with the CFL was watching the Memphis Mad Dogs. Despite how god awful they were, it hasn't poisoned the CFL waters for me. Anyway, it's a moot point for me which is better- the left handed funny football played by the CFL or the mental cases that get millions to play in the NFL- because I'd rather watch a good SEC game any day.

It isn't about Americans or Canadians.  It is really much ado about not much.

The guy wanted Madden graphics and FBPro capability, and he didn't get that.  He came in with expectations that were not met.

Perhaps he will settle down and look at what the game actually does rather than what he wanted it to do.

For this board's sake, please don't get into the American Football vs Canadian Football debate.  Maximum Football can do both, and I enjoy playing both and watching both in the real world, so I don't think we need to go there.

Actual don`t shoot me here i could be wrong I have watched some Alabama games i think there in the SEC (bad influence on me a tider fan I believe there as bad as Rider fans need help)
Anyway I`ve enjoyed the games. What gets me is the fan support and the staduim sizes. If anyone has ever seen a Acadia game the staduim is next to a farming field you can see the tractor going around .

As long as we're showing our colors- see below.
Neyland stadium in October with the Tennessee River flowing behind the south endzone, the fall colors on the surrounding mountains, 100,000+ fans and Rocky Top blaring- there's no better place to see a college football game.

OK I'm jumping in.
Tuscaloosa is a MUCH better place to watch a football game than Neyland Stadium. At Neyland brothers and sisters are always getting married in the parking lot.
45-38-7 against the mighty Vols.

38-33-1 against stinkin Awbun.
This year we will increase both those winning tallys.
Mark my words.

No, you're incorrect about brothers and sisters marrying each other outside Neyland. It's 1st cousins that get married there. The brother and sister weddings happen outside Jordan-Hare Stadium and also at Scott Field in Starkville. I've been to Jordan-Hare for a couple of UT-Auburn games. It was especially fun in 1980 when we beat them 42-0. I got several one finger greetings from Auburn fans that day. I've been to games at Bryant-Denny Stadium and at Legion Field. I attended the 1983 & 1985 UT-Alabama games at Legion Field. I also saw Bama beat up on some "bunny rabbits" at Bryant-Denny stadium. I prefer Neyland but I'm prejudged. Yes, Bama does lead the overall series but since 1995, Tennessee has won 10 and Bama has won 3. Alabama is my 2nd favorite team. I am for them every game of the season except one- Tennessee. On that day I want UT to "beat them like they stoled something". I actually saw Joe Namath play when he was at Alabama. They were playing a road game at Mississippi State. He was an amazing QB.

Yes it should if Auburn wins the SEC title game [:)] In the SEC I hate Alabama, Kentucky, Tennesee, Georgia, Florida other than Tebow who has some class, LSU, and Vanderbilt. If I am leaving anyone out they aren't important or I forgot them.

General Neyland influenced many southern coaches of his day. His Game Maxims are still recited before every game. Bear Bryant, Pat Dye, Bobby Dodd, Frank Broyles, and many others patterned their football philosophies after the General. General Neyland is one of the few coaches that Bear Bryant never beat. If we were sitting around a table throwing back some beers, I'd love to tell stories about games I've attended and people I've met at those games and in my coaching career. Some of my best friends are Bama & Georgia grads. There were even an Auburn grad or 2 that I was able to tolerate. The only fans that I have trouble liking are Vanderbilt fans. That's a whole other bunch of stories as to why.

One thing that bothers me about present day SEC football is the animosity between schools and coaches. Until the recent recruiting mess at Alabama and Phil Fulmer's apparent involvement in the investigation, the animosity between UT & Alabama wasn't there. I don't see the respect between the 2 schools and their fan bases that existed before the "mess". I'm an old school guy and I remember when Bear Bryant, Johnny Majors, Pat Dye and others kept the peace in the conference and the respect was there. It was like a brotherhood of coaches. I don't see that class and character in the conference now. I the past, Tennessee & Alabama could play some of the fiercest, hardest hitting games and when it was over the fans behaved themselves. Now, I'm afraid a riot might break out after they play. That's not the way it should be. That's not the rivalry built by General Neyland, Wallace Wade, Frank Thomas, Bear Bryant, Doug Dickey, Bill Battle and Johnny Majors.

That really does stink. I live in Hawaii right now and like to go to games, but I hate the fighting even against little 1aa schools that don't matter. It's weird how people complain about the price of beers then dump it all out on someone. Rivalry is fine, but you don't have to punch or throw beer to show your a true fan.
