The game continues, after a break I got a turn last night… Being a long wait I’m sure the enemy has made considerable plans to draw pools of resources and planned them to a high degree. The attack on Java will continue.

My Battleships bombard Auckland trying to wipe out the 2 divisions he has there so they can’t be used in Java or later operations. This has been going on for about 10 turns now I have 3 carriers sitting of the coast in case the KB shows up and a number of planes on long range cap from Auckland… So if the KB does show up I have

36 x Wildcat from Yorktown
36 x Wildcat from hornet
19 x Fulmar from Illustrious
12 x Hurricane from Auckland
32 x Spitfire from Auckland
32 x Kittyhawk from Auckland
8 x Brewster from Auckland

A total of 175 for fighter protection of the carriers. Hopefully enough, the carriers are sitting 1 hex out from Auckland with the Battleship lying in the Auckland hex. I’m not sure how long this is going to take but am committed to cause. 2 divisions has got to hurt.

I spotted over the last turn on Sunday that the aircraft icon went dark red so used my B-17E’s to there maximum effect happily there was no cap and it destroyed 18 x betty, 7 x Neil, and 5 x Hickory. Not a bad show but it never seems to be very accurate on the combat report. I’ve gone for the same this turn but moved an extra 48 B-17E’s in to cause total destruction.
