Ok What I am doing is just changing the names and ratings of the players Like New England. I changed Grogan the QB to Brady and so on.
I do have a problem, Depth,,, I mean who is the #1 Rb or Wr or Rg or RT or LG or LT and the same on Defense #1 or #2 CB or LB and so on..
Like as I am doing NE Who would be the center on the 76 team so I can replace him. I know I can check online and see but I mean the game itself how do you know who the 1,2,3 place depth are..?

well, the site I used to set the depth charts is as follows:

I think the most important factor is the playbooks you use, however, because like FBPRO, they pretty much determine who lines up where.

Leeman,
Seeing that Madden's rating system is different from Max, how did you adjust?
I am finding out this is alot of work.Wow...
I am changing the Bears players to the 85 Bears and again the difference in the ratings is tough to adjust. The Reason I have played Madden 04 for years is because of Muscle Mike. I love Old Time teams And My Dream is to put together a League of Old Teams and sim the season to find out who the best teams are. I tried it in FB Pro and the game crashes or is not real at all-- to many sacks (80) per team and little INTS.
In Madden Building a Franchise is way to much work. So I am Hoping I can do it with Max.
Thanks.....

Seeing that it's been so long since I did this file conversion (well..it seems like a long time), I can't recall exactly what formulas I used to convert from the original Madden 04 file, but the ratings are not exact as they were. I think someone else here had put together some equivalents in terms of the skill attributes that looked something like this:

(MaxFB)=(Madden)
Speed = Speed
Strength = Strength
Intelligence = Awareness
Discipline = Awareness + Years Exp (can't remember the exact equation)
Blocking = Avg of Run Block and Pass Block
Coverage = Combination of Speed, Agility and Awareness

Etc, etc.

From there, I recall then making a few global adustments so that the skill ratings were in line with the suggested MaxFB ranges, but I also know that since then, there have been changes to that depending on playbooks used (look up some old posts by guys like Hack153 and Old Coach). So there is major room for improvement in what I did, I just never really finished fine-tuning it.

And yes, it is a lot of work although using version 1.7 of JDHalfrack's database editor was a major help because you can export a file to a .csv similar to what you can do with Madden using either Gommo's or Nza's editor. That's basically how I was able to convert everything in very little time (relatively speaking).

I hope that helps and sorry I can't be more useful here, but I've been away from this game for too long, and I hope to get back into it soon and perhaps improve what I've put out there once and for all.
