While I await John to do his second turn. I thought I would say a little about the economy.
Japan has 12,084 in HI. This last turn we used 14,528 and have a reserve down to 12,702. Thus, I need to trim about 2,500 in daily HI use.
To accomplish this, 400 out of 617 Merchant Shipbuilding was shut down (Nagasaki - 180; Okayama - 100; Tokyo - 80; and Hitachi - 40). This will get me 1,200 HI per day back. I have also used my new "toy" WitPTracker to figure what else to do. The Japanese Naval Ship Building program is very ambitious in this mod. Last turn it used up 5163 HI (1721 x 3 = 5163). Thus, Sasebo (100) was shut down to save another 300 HI. Ship Building took up almost 1/2 of my HI usage last turn, so until expansion and conquest start to kick in, they will be on a diet. [;)]
Ships halted - The 2 BattleCruiser, CV Kii, CV Kurama, CV Isama, CV Taiho, CLAA Woods-san, CLAA TankerAce-San, I-32, I-36, I-38. All merchant ships with a greater arrival time than 60 days were halted, except for 2 AR conversions.
Armament at Tokyo (150) was halted on production. Another 900 HI saved.
Air Production: With 10 different engines being built throughout this mod, I am shutting down the Toyoda, Kokusai, Nissan, and Aichi engine factories, including their repairs for the time being. The only Mitsubishi factory is at Hiroshima and with plenty in the pool and no need, it was shut down.
We will look at things after the next turn to see if I went too far, which I feel I may have, and then turn things back on slowly. Hopefully, other players of this mod will see my mistake and not make them in their own games.

5 out of 6 Daitai of Kates were assigned port attack. All but Shokaku dropped Torpedoes (she had 800kg AP bombs). So I changed 1 Val and 1 Kate around and then took off Zeros from straffing (too costly).
Plus, I used the "double secret" sacrifice to the dice gods.

You will note that I also refrained from hitting your BCs at Singapore on the opening turn also. It was a hard decision on my part - [:D][:D] - but I did not want to sink your toys on the 1st turn B4 you get a chance to play with them.
I didn't get Marblehead either... I guess my search aircraft didn't perform their jobs on that turn (pre-war jitters?).
I was just doing my turn for a game against Damian using this mod as the Allies. I see that there are three rivers with ports inland - starting at Diamond Harbor, Hong Kong, and Shanghai. What sort of HR should there be on them?? I could get KB close enough to launch on Chungking!![X(]

Comments: I'm limiting my Japanese LBA attacks until I can get Aviation Support across to northern Luzon, Legsapi, and Malaya as the long distance missions have increased my fatigue level to over 30 and my morale for some Nells has gotten to below 50.
Operations: I should be landing on the three British bases (Kuching, Miri, and Brunei) in Borneo over the next few day. Aviation Support units should be at Kuching and Brunei. Therefore, some of my Zeros have been stood down to get the fatigue down and morale up along with my Bettys to be allowed to rome from Kuching and form the northern pincer around Java. Details on the second part of the southern pincer to follow. Two small BFs have landed at Legsapi and planes flown in. A large Aviation Rgt is landing at Appari and thus my shorter legged Army LBA should move in.
Transports from Malaya are returning to Saigon over the next few days. Then, Palembang will be totally isolated with forces landing at Muntok (one hex due east) and Telokbetoeng. Some transports will go to Taan to pick up those NGF/SMGF for Singkawang and Pontinak. Ideally, I want to captured Palembang near the end of the SRA campaign or when I'm sure the threat of 4e bomers laying waste to the Oil there is minimal. Palembang Oil is (1000) x 1000. I cannot afford 400 or 500 pints worth of damage.
Rest? Seriously though, anytime Experience - fatigue is below 50 I try to rest them BUT if there's a turkey shoot going on or maximum effort is required they fly no matter what their fatigue is. usually though after a single day's mission they are marginal and after two days of missions they are completely hosed. For some units which I know will be flying day after day I prefer HIGH Inspiration leaders above even high AIR and AGGRESSION leaders as less effectiveness per sortie is more than compensated for by making 3 times as many sorties.

The 2 torpedoes mean that John pulls BB Prince of out of his SC TF that runs into mine. However, I was hoping it was the one with 2 BBs. But, the Japanese Admiral, me, had them set to retire. [8|][8|] Thankfully, another SC TF from Malaya had been sent down here a few days ago. [;)] Torpedoes seemed to be launch like they just had to get rid of them. Thankfully, I wasn't on the recieving end of them.

The base is damaged - Port 65, AF service 11, AF runway 39
Base Industry damaged to the tune of HI - (1) x 0; Resources (7) x 5; and Oil (4) x 2 It will cost 12,000 supplies to repair. [:(] 2 x 10,000 AKs are loading suplies at Camrahn Bay along with a fragment of the 35th Bde.
Comments: I had moved the initial subs off Malaya to block the north and south escape routes around Java. I forgot to mention that I took Miri intake. [:D] However, Brunei was left with Port - 58, AF service - 2, AF runway - 50. The Base Industry has Resources (17) x 13 and Oil (205) x 45. [X(][:(][X(] The 4th Construction is now leaving Camrahn Bay with supplies for Brunei.
