Attack #22 Left unprotected during the Tet cease-fire, the old imperial city of Hue is occupied by two full NVA regiments. The D802 Battalion, Regiment 6, is tasked with capturing the Headquarters of the 1st ARVN Division located in the citadel and defended by the elite Hac Bao Reconnaissance Company. The combat is furious and despite the arrival of 2/3 and supporting artillery fires, only the Hac Bao Company manages to hold one but takes heavy casualties. It probably won't resist a second assault. Image
