Really really depends on how the testing goes especially the AI testing.

The one thing that Terminus and others have nightmares about is a release like MOO3 what a AI disaster.

You give MOO3 too little credit; it was a COMPLETE disaster, not just an AI one...[:D]

is it the nature of the testing or the number of the testers? Would another 50 testers help?

Nothing to do with the number of testers.

Heh.

Some folks have been waiting for a computerised World in Flames game for almost 10 years now. (And the light finally, if dimly, appears down the tunnel for this one.)

One year for WiTP-AE is no sweat.

I am just hoping for a finished game when it comes.

Timing could have been better for me {out of work for the next 5-7 months and have been out since March}.  Would've been great to be forced to stay at home and have AE come out right then.

If someone wants to pay for three years of a post-doc or a PhD candidate, I'm willing to give them a decent AI.

Does this mean it will work as good as WITP after release of better?

Let's say neither was developed according to IEC 61508-3. So it's difficult to say. ;-)

MOO3 was &*$£"%&%^ bad.

I still occasionally play MOO2 but it a pity some company can't pick it up and redo it[8D]

It doesn't make any sense, Admiral. Were we better than the Japanese or just luckier?
