All of the above [:'(],i grabed with glee my copy the day after it was on the net whats that 4-5 years ago... over 2 years ago i sent a wave of 100 Nells (no escort)over to bomb a factory in bombay early in the war(march 42), knowing there was not many fighters and may not get be attacked in the raid (silly me) 30 fighers came up,OK then as the Air battle started i was thinking this is not so good i going to lose 15-25 bombers here......not one got home all shot down too the bomber and not one fighter was lost in there attack. This is all old hat now because we all know air system is flawed....but that flawed me i have not played the WITP since then but ..(before that raid i restarted the campain 5 times after Ver 1 came out with all the changes and even made my own mod and 2 years later)AE gives me hope to play to able to play again...[&o] yes i am fussy[8|]

You sent a bunch of Nell's (lightly built, flying gas-cans) on an extended-range mission with no cover against opposition..., and you expected to see any of them again? You are truely an optimist! [:D]

For me, the top two things are (1) 40 mile hexes, and (2) exposing the AI to the editor, which will (I hope) inspire some good AI mods.

Better ship damage model in combat resolution, so not getting a carrier almost surely sunk after it is hit by a 250kg bomb...

Also the new art and all the ship upgrades are a very welcome addition, I don't have to do it any more manually for all the scenarios :)

Of couzrse everything that is fixed from WitP and every new feature is more than welcome.

Anything improving this great game will be appreciated.

On my personal wishlist would be a higher resolution (crucial with the new hex scale), better handling of air forces (i.e. directly attaching fighters to bombing raids as it was in BoB) and some smaller scenarios maybe.

I'm looking forward to the vastly improved interface and the integration of WitP Utility.

Wait . . . none of those things are happening? Well, I guess I'll settle for atolls I cant land an overstrength corps on. THis should change the strategy a lot when island hopping.

After having KB's Vals and Kates scoring more hits on my subs than any Orion ASW aircraft could over the last few turns, a reduction in the effectiveness of finding and hitting subs would be nice.

The release date? that is the only extra thing I want now. I trust Joe and his team to get things as good as they can. [:)]

With so many new slots, maybe the rear echelon planes, like the Japanese "Willow" could be used as kamikaze (as in real life), to perhaps satisfy a demand for kamikaze, so maybe not every Japanese plane in the world is forced to expend itself in a "one-shot" waste...[&:]

Admittedly with so many new open slots, maybe some of these rear-echelon trainer types are best left for the mods? Here is another used as a transport and advanced trainer,(and kamikaze).
