A very brave pedestrian strolling through the Shermans.

Nah, safe as houses.

The only movement in that picture is the waves washing up the beach.

Obviously the old army maxim in practice, "Hurry up and wait.."

M4A!'s on New Guinea assigned to the 1st Marine Tank Battalion.
 
Odds are pretty good that my grandfather is in the photo, even if he's actually inside one of the tanks.
