All the IJN carriers get radar late war. They're my work, and I tried to use my best judgment for that. As for the fuel, could you elaborate on what you mean? I'm fairly certain it's correct.

And yes, rockets do work. They don't work very well, being mostly of the "sound and fury signifying nothing" variety, but they work.

Well on the AAA rockets...everyone gets lucky now and then... [:D]

Also, any chance of us seeing Asashio Class?

Why not? This is the mid-war appearance of the Asashios. They get radar and more AAA later, of course:

All this is very cool, but I was wondering what use tugs, general tenders, and hydrography vessels served in the game.

None. There aren't any.

We had to draw the line somewhere (there was some discussion about including fleet tugs at one point, but it was nixed).

You rock Terminus!

Nice to know you did draw the line on some of these ships as well. Some of them would be of extremely limited usefullness..

Yard Oiler (Barge) =YO, Samanship Training Ship = YP, and Yard Minesweeper = YMS, I believe.

YP = Yard Patrol Boat. The British counterpart, the Harbour Defence Motor Launch, is also in.

And by "classes", JWE means "ship types" (like CV, BB, DD and such).

... right down to 'YG'? [;)][/align]

No... We've got YO, YP and YMS, though...

Anyone ever been on a YP? I have. They suck big time.

Terminus i see that in Asahio and in other ships there is a field to put troops number. Since as far i am aware the device we put in will still be squad this assumes a fixed number of troops per squad?

Will this option appear in transport aircraft? the cargo weight can be very different than a cargo size.

I would hazard a guess the troops number refers to the total loadcost you can load in troops/equipment (using a similar formula as for WitP Fast Transport TFs), rather than any reference to actual men.

It IS for fast transport TF use. We have formulas for what can be stored in troop space, and that's not just men. You'll notice there are spaces for bulk and liquid cargo as well.

The editor is a relational database program. The screen is complete as to “all” of the different things that can be modified as to “all” of the different possible elements. But just sticking it into the editor, doesn’t mean it will happen. For some things, you will get the annoying Windows “dong”; for others, it will let you do it, but the code will ignore it – same as it ever was – so just because you see a switch or button in the editor doesn’t mean you can apply that switch or button universally. Same as it ever was.

Cargo weight for a ship is in metric tons. There is a conversion table, in the code, that relates tons to various load costs, for various device types. Have no idea what you are talking about when you say ‘cargo size’.

Loading squads - same as it ever was.
Loading Guns - small/light guns load at half the big gun rate - otherwise, same as it ever was.

I think he means that a cubic meter of concrete and a cubic meter of feathers don't weigh the same thing.

Hello Monter,

Not quite chrome. HDML is like a slow PT, but with guns; good for harbor defense (think that’s why they call it a Harbor Defense Motor Launch??).

YPs (but not HDMLs) can “convert” to minefield tenders (and thus keep minefields from decaying) or general tenders (AGs) that can rearm “small” vessels, or coastal (harbor) minesweepers.

Welcome to the wonderful world of AE. There's more - way, way, way, more.

Ciao. John
