Thanks, the beta update doesn't fix this, but the first official one will. If it happened to you, the only current way around it is to go back to your last save and avoid doing anything with the squad screen while any of your squads are moving.

Ok, thanks to your saves, our testing has managed to narrow this down as follows.

If you make any changes to a squad (i.e. changing medics, equipment, trainers, etc.) while that squad is moving on the strategic map, it can cause the squad's icon to disappear. If you only make changes when a squad is stationary, it should not happen. We're forwarding this info to the developer.

Anyone experiencing this, please let us know if avoiding that resolves the problem for you. If you get a vanishing squad icon even with avoiding making any changes while a squad is moving, let us know.

don't think this is it, the splitting squad sounds right

I hired a Doc, and then moved my major damaged ones to a new squad along with the Doc (also odd, if I hired the Doc I couldn't move troops to her Squad, I had to move troops to the squad and then Hire the Doc to join that squad ?)

Doc Healed 2 troopers, put them back into there squads and then tried to move out to the next sector, send all 3 squads, the first two got there, and fought the battle, with the 3rd coming in, when the 3rd gets there it goes poof
