Yeah, don't go anywhere TMac. After I wear these guys completely out, I'll be looking for new blood ;)

No, they are tough as well as talented. They'll hang with me!

But don't despair. There will be other projects and I will definitely be hollering.

ok, i figured it out, the new mc will take place in burma !
someone on the blitzkreig forum suggested it for a mod. no little islands to deal with, lots of land, varied terrain, swamps and jungles.
did i win the prize?
Conflict of Heroes "Most games are like checkers or chess and some have dice and cards involved too. This game plays like checkers but you think like chess and the dice and cards can change everything in real time."

Burma? Burma?

Sheesh! And here I've been packing my bags for a Matrix sponsored, tax deductible, "research" trip to Bermuda!

Gotta get my eyes and hearing checked... :(

Anyone else get a Monty Python flashback to "Penguin on the Telly"? (Why did you say Burma?...I panicked!)

It strikes me that doing an MC is a lot like preparing a doctoral dissertation. The main difference is, with the MC, you don't get a degree at the end.

It would be impossible to adequately express the admiration and gratitude that I feel for all the effort by so many people that goes into making the MCs the jewels of wargaming that they are!

Letters of encouragement and gratitude go along way to achieving the same feeling for those who participate, my friend. Thanks...

No, we don't get a sheepskin, but we do get to add "KMC" to our names and signatures.

KMC stands for "Knight of the Mega-Campaign" and comes in varying degrees such as:

With Quill: for the writers
With Compass: for the mapmakers
With Lightning Bolt: for the scenario designers
With Magnifying Glass: for the proofreaders
With Tweezers: for the testers
With Whip: for the team leaders
With Shackles: for the coordinator (to use on all the rest of us)

;)

Good Lord...

if that were the case, some people would look like a Hero of the Soviet Union...so decked out with medals that you couldn't see the fabric of the tunic. :D

Let's see then....I would be KMC/C&T...and LB second class. LOL :D ;) :p

And Wild Bill would need a separate screen, just for his signature :)

And I could show off my scars, Bernie...you know old folks like to show off their scars ;)

Remember in "Jaws" when the three were showing off scars?

Hey, those old line Russians were tough! There were no tunics...those medals were pinned to their leathered old hides!

Lordy, did you just bring up a memory! Want to know where I saw "Jaws" for the first time?

Aboard ship in the Navy, anchored off the coast of Sardinia...just prior to "swim call" (Our captain had a heck of a sense of humor)

I still remember the announcement over the 1MC system...
"Mess crews report to the mess deck and strike the movie! Swim call! Swim call! All hands swim call from debarkstation number 4 Duty Gunner's Mate report to the bridge with two M-14's and ammo!"

Guess who the duty gunner's mate was that day? :)

I brought up the M-14's, for the bridge lookouts...and an M-60 for myself. :D

I might even have pictures of that...have to dig out the scrapbook.

No, no degree but you do get a mega campaign. What more do you want?

I awarded all of my volunteers promotions during the course of making Lost Victories but I was demoted from a Field marshal to an Oberfeldwebel
