Thanks for the clarification, and also thanks for this implementation as it gives players some control over the upgrade process. Well, thx from the micromanagers at least. [;)]
If you gained knowledge through the forum, why not putting it into the AE wiki?

James is much clearer than me at this stuff.

You can access TOE upgrades by looking at a units TOE on the LCU screen if its yellow at the top that means the TOE changes at some point (not always for the better.....)

Some forces end up with much lower establishments some end up a lot lighter as they shed heavy mot support and some arty to better junglify them

Thanks from me as well, Andy. The difference between device upgrade and TOE change isn't that clear in the manual.

I've never disbanded LCUs in either WITP or AE, but I think on a re-start I'd look at, for Allies first 6 months, disbanding some big infantry units to load up the device pool and force devices down the pipeline to USArmy regiment-size units that will be more useful in 1942. The TOE upgrades also insert a whole new level of decisions; I wasn't aware that any "got worse."
