I think they are a lot better (higher resolution and better effects of smoke and fire) - but the idea is generally the same.

Exactly! If you have played PacWar and Carriers at War, you feel immediatly "at home" playing UV. :) I remember, I was always waiting for those torpedo hits in CAW .... *splush*... *psshhh* .... *booom!*

It's even better in UV. I'm now always watching out for those extra CRITICAL DAMAGE explosions. :cool:
