Just bought this.. which patches

John Tiller's Campaign Series exemplifies tactical war-gaming at its finest by bringing you the entire collection of TalonSoft's award-winning campaign series. Containing TalonSoft's West Front, East Front, and Rising Sun platoon-level combat series, as well as all of the official add-ons and expansion packs, the Matrix Edition allows players to dictate the events of World War II from the tumultuous beginning to its climatic conclusion. We are working together with original programmer John Tiller to bring you this updated edition.

this was before that was set up. I think a few weeks. I did send it to you and nothing was done so therefore the process did not work.

Probably why that thread was set up back in August.

interesting will be considered? so if the request does not meet your standard it does not get included thereby no further attention....that smacks of true favortism....that is why I am hard headed about the weapons file and platoon file......the decision is yours , a user, not a a game designer for matrix but a user. As you can see that is a flawed process that does show favortism in a particular fashion to the PBEM community vs the regular gamer that enjoys the game for what it is. Talonsoft was never like that. They never let a user dictate what can be included. They took things under advisement and gave you reasons as to why it would or not for the whole of the game. You my freind have individual scenarios and LCG's in mind as always never the DCG campaigner. Oh well I said my piece and regardless what I think it will always be this way with this game. I just hope the rest of the games from Matrix will not be this way.

There wasn't an official process before the thread for new units. Hence, it was created.

I presume you realize that there are a limited number of platoon ID's available.

That being the case, not everything can be included, so consideration has to be given to new units.

Common sense.

Talonsoft was never like that. They never let a user dictate what can be included.

That's right, they never gave you the choice.

The code was cracked by users, not given freely by Talonsoft.

Curious do you Have a BXA License to be able to send electronic data in email via the internet from Canada to the US? Does Matrix have an exemption that would allow you to do this? I am curious is all.

Here is the rub....what do you consider a priority on units.....various iterations of the same truck, jeep etc. with a different passenger and load capacity? Upteen air to ground support units? Hmmmmm.....you want to make this into an ASL system and it just isn't. This is a company to corps size stragy game...Just curious as you progress into modern wars you have so many more variations of the same thing for the same function and if this is included into the WWII structure then of course you will run out of numbers. I am just making the point that Jason as well versed as your sense of well placed intentions, brass tacks is that either Matrix locks down everything or nothing

Well are you shipping electronic data from Canada to other parts of the world? Does canada have certain laws for import export on software that is copyrighted elsewhere and distributed there?

What files would I be sending that are copyrighted?

This is a company to corps size stragy game...

The game is platoon level to army level. Tactical and Operational.

TOAW would be a strategy game.

One thing first off that I thought was a bummer was the screen flashing when moving around.. not sure I noticed this with my Talonsoft disk (might've played that in XP though). I can remedy it by making my display go to 16 color.. but it would be nice if you didn't have to change it every time before you start.

Did you uncheck the compatibilitymode in the properties? I had the same thing and unchecking did it for me.

Really?

I don't believe the Campaign Series, or any other game that Matrix offers, registers on the radar of the USML that fall under the ITAR.

Interim Trust Anchor Repository ????

International Traffic in Arms Regulations ????

Is there another ITAR that you might be talking about?
One that could even logically be applied to your argument?

Sheesh Barker. Get over the fact that you will not be able to mod those files and Jason can send software back and forth to the company he works for. [&:]

ITAR covers any software , intellectual property, executable code that could be or can be modified in another country. Read up on ITAR all regs....amazing what it all encompasses......a company could lose its priveledge to selling over seas if they knowingly violated any of those regs and it was pressed. ITAR includes a vast number of items. It even includes technical knowledge through email if not previously approved through import / export.

Feel free to post and quote the ITAR where it relates to the issues you state in relation to the game.

Thanks!
