Does the LCU need to have "accept reinforcements" turned on, or will they upgrade with that turned off as long as the other conditions are met?

At some point your unit will be in range of a command HQ and at rest mode and the magic will happen.

For many units, yes. For base and engineer units, not unless you know they are ready for a toe upgrade. Because engineers do not work unless in combat mode players are likely to keep base and engineer units in combat more to be building bases, forts, and repairing damage. The player would have to know that the unit is ready for TOE upgrade, then temporarily switch it into rest mode until the upgrade gets done.

I don't know what units are affected, so I suppose if there are no base or engineers units that get TOE upgrades then this point is moot.

I queried the folks doing Tracker about this and they are going to take a look at getting some info on TOE upgrades included there.

As far as AE itself goes, my suggestion would be a date instead of an asterisk (I know real estate is tight so maybe that's impractical). I suppose it would be good for a TOE upgrade date column to be available on the ground unit display ('G' key), but I know real estate is quite tight on those screens too.

TOE upgrades were well thought out and extensively tested not sure why you are saying they are not thought out but there is a very simple answer if you dont like them either ignore them totally or go through the editor and remove them your choice.

Exactly 1 units on the whole map gets a reduced TOE out of a TOE upgrade all the others become better so dont need to be worried about if they happen they happen if they dont they dont

1st Burma Div gets sent to be a training formation at some stage about 9 months into the war so if you dont want that to happen keep it out of rest mode but its pretty much the only TOE upgrade you need to worry about.

I'm not talking about the TOE themselves only how they interface with the game.

I'm not talking about anything fancy just a list with dates. I.e. as in withdrawals, replacement type list.
