I'm having problem with changing the game resolution to pretty much anything, here are my WITP AE shortcut parameters:

"D:\WitP AE\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -cpu2 -multiaudio -deepColor -w –px1920 –py1200

I created WITP AE shortcut on my desktop and added the above mentioned arguments...

NOTE: I have Win 7 Pro 64bit edition, when I installed the patch I was told that some registry settings couldn't be updated or something like that...

Unless your moniter has a native resolution larger thatn 1920x1200, remove the -w from the command line.

Did you cut and paste the command switches off the .pdf? If so delete all the - symbols and replace them via your keyboard. That did it for me.

21. Gameplay Change: ASW bombing experience effects altered to increase effects
of ASW aircraft over time.

Was this in the beta patch, or recently added in the final patch?

That DID IT!!! Thanks a lot for your help guys. I removed the command options from the shortcut and pasted it into notepad, then I deleted the "-" symbols and simply retyped that symbol again and put the new command options string into the shortcut that I was in business :)

Weird, never seen this before...

The new comprehensive 1.01.02a update is available Thanks AE team for the hard work!

For those who just read the patch notes themselves, and not the new switches section, see the new -archive option. I havn't tested this yet, but I believe it creates a sub-folder in the Saves folder for all those combat result text files, etc. that gum up the actual Saves folder. Last time I backed up to my external HD the Saves folder was over a gigabyte in size, with 1600+ files, when all I really cared about was the saves themselves. I didn't realize it was so huge until the HD started grinding on it.

Thanks to the team for this welcome improvement.

Are there any changes between the beta and release version of the patch?

From various posts I am certain that there are at least some.

When I went to install Norton 360 V4 decided that there was something in it that was placing me at risk.  It then removed the file which luckily I had saved to my USB flash drive to put it on the laptop later.  What gives?

I never thought that doing an AAR would be so time consuming and difficult.

Agree, try using AVG instead. The price is much better.
