I've had my colonies leave my faction and join another. Your reputation is very important in this game.

This is the Diplomacy menu behind those pictures. Those pictures I posted are what come up when you click the option at the top right of this menu "Speak with Test-6"

I have a question.. (as well lol)
I notice that all these race portraits have transparent backgrounds (which is cool), and when you open the big window they get a nice planetary background. Are those random?
Considering their heads seem to be "cut out", does that mean that their background environment can randomly change depending on their homeworld? That would be awesome XD

Maby it can be modded, by adding several versions of the same background (oceans for the seal ppl etc) the game could pick randomly from?
Also, i wonder if you can mod the flag icons to get a bit of smooth "wave" to them.
Oh here i go again with mod ideas XD

The planetary backgrounds are the native planet type of the race. There are several landscape images of each planet type in the game, and one of these is selected for the race.

This feature is also supported in modding, so that when you set the native planet type of a race in the races.txt file, they will display with that planet type in the background.

The Dhayut in the left side list still have their square background attached. That should have been removed like the others for the list. :/

If you look closely, its not actually the background left there, but legs of the critter 'passing' over the edges of his space :}

Thanks. Yeah, your're right. I zoomed all the way in on it. The sky portion is removed and the legs are using enough space to make a larger square look then the other list icons. Well done, developers.

good questions....

and .... what sort of treaties exist. Normal trade, science.....

Can you exchange technology via diplomacy, and how do you judge the tech(level)
you are getting against the tech you are giving?

In another 4x game series(MOO123) I stayed away from alliances because the idiots I ally with immediately
jump into a big war with someone and drag you into it. Worse still wait until you are allied with
another race then declare war on them. Is there any downside to refusing an alliance type treaty?
My e-troops don't unload OVER THE BEACH anymore, see:
Amphibious Assault at Kota Bharu
TF 85 troops securing a beachhead at Kota Bharu, 51,75
whew! I still feel better.
