Glad you had a good holiday. Dartmoor is beautiful. Also pleased you enjoyed the game. Terrific session report, you should post it here on the BoardGameGeek site here
Another game I've been getting into is B-17 Queen of the Skies. Its an old game but you should be able to get a copy easy enough through either E-bay or BoardGameGeek marketplace.
The premise of the game is that you have to try and guide your crew through 25 missions. You can get pretty attached to them especially as you approach the 25th mission. An achievement none of my aircraft have yet to achieve Once you get going there are squadrons you can join which fly the same mission and pool their results making it even more immersive.
There is a mod here which is a British Avro Lancaster squadron flying to Berlin. They have modified the rules and charts to enable you to fly the Lancaster bomber.... Tally Ho!

Also remember DVG's Hornet Leader is on its way. Lovely art work.

Let me know if you want any more money spending...

lol - yeah - thanks. I was interested in one of the games advertised on the rules (I think it was a modern tank/land battle game)...I might take a look at that next.

Modern Land Battles is enticing but its a 2 player game and for me game partners are hard to find... the wife likes Euro games like Ticket to Ride ... so its solitaire wargames only for me..

oh - well that one is out then. I didn't read about it tbh because I wasn't near buying yet.

But there are definitely boardgames in the future for me. I'll have a look on BoardGameGeek - I'd like modern land warfare, and WWII air warfare (Battle of Britain would be nice)...but they all have to be solo play. Conflict of Heroes Storms of Steel is a definite buy soon...maybe my next purchase.
