How is everyone finding it?

Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

I just started Elsenborn Ridge scenario.I have started pausing this time and am having a lot more success.

I play the same as Markshot. You need to slow it down a little when in contact as as Mark says battles play out in realtime in reality. I only speed up when moving to contact or I feel things are going fully as planned.

I think some maybe so used to fastpaced games these days they have trouble with a slower speed. Playing fast isnt' making the game more realistic but more unrealistic. At a fast speed your sort of playing it like a squad based game as thats the sort of speed you'd expect. Were dealing with a much larger scale covering larger distances so remember even at the slowest speed I think it's running at 1 sec of playing time = 1 min of pixeltruppen time, might be more that that even, so your playing the game speeded up already.
