1941 Campaign all 255turns! Bob vs Trey

T4 AGS. AGS creates some flimsy pockets that Trey will no doubt crack open.

T4 11th Army sector. 11th Army prepares to cross the Dnestr.

T4 Losses. I have noticed a big variation in AFV losses across the various AARs. This may be a reflection of playstyle, between those that use their panzers to break the stronger stacks vs those who bypass and isolate.

T5. AGN. AGN arrives at the Luga line, The defence values that I can see do not look too scary.

T5. Two attempts to get past the Northern flank of VL failed.

T5. Vitebsk will be bypassed.

T5. Dnepr crossed in the North and South.

T5. AGS pull off A major Pocket, with I have done my level best to lock down, but Trey will no doubt find a way to crack it. Even if he does, I can still advance on Kiev and/or Cherkassy.

T5. my breakthrough at the centre of the Dnester gives me options to the North and South.

That was a nice move making that huge pocket near Zhitomer and Vinnitsa. Even if he does crack it here or there, those units will most likely end up dieing. I think you are doing ok up north but it looks like you might have your hands full in the center. IMO you're spreading your combat power out too much there, a push towards VL, another towards Smolensk and 2 Dnepr river crossings. We'll see if it pans out for you there.

T6 AGN. I start transferring the usual support units to 18th army to support the forthcoming assault on Leningrad. I suspect my recon is not showing me the true state of the defences.

T6 VL. My usual policy is to isolate and bypass major cities,w hich is what I am doing with VL.

T6. Same story with Vitebsk and Smolensk.

T6 AGS. AGS has many options to choose from.

T6. Looks like Trey is making some effort to hold Odessa, so we'll see if the new Lvl 3 entrenchments make a difference. I'm debating whether to apply my own house rule of only using Rumanians to besiege the city.

End T7 AGN: The Luga may be unhinged enough for Trey to Fall back to the Leningrad defences that my Recon still cannot see.

End T7 AGC. I decide to do a move that I knew I could get away with against they AI that would gain me a lot of ground, and probably pocket a few units. Trey will no doubt wriggle out of the pockets and reduce my territory gains.
