Now, releasing a game before Christmas sound like a swell idea, but I'd rather wait 'til January than see the product's quality suffer.
Also, remember we're not talking about a mainstream PS3/Wii/Xbox 360 game, but a relatively niche PC 4X game.

But then we might as well wait til february, or march, or april, or next year's winter :P
If its ready for release in winter, i say release it in winter. If its fun and an IMPROVEMENT upon the base game, i can deal with a few bugs as long as they keep patching it.

Of course technically winter doesn't start until December 21st... [;)]
