I noticed.

How come the download is so stinking slow? I got a 25/25 FiOS line and so far it's taken me over 30 minutes for a 469 meg file. Usually I can download that much in a minute or two. I noticed the same thing when I go to download patches. Hope the full PCO doesn't download this slow or else I may just have to give up on ever gettting it.

There's a lot of demand right now. The demo is going through our normal FTP servers which we use for updates and such. When you purchase a game it goes through the store servers, which effectively have unlimited bandwidth and many redundant servers. Completely different setup.

We're setting up mirrors for the demo as well. Those will be announced this weekend and added to the download links on the product page.

Thanks Erik for responding. Just so I know that the game download won't be as slow. I don't mind waiting. I guess having a FiOS line has spoiled me a little. I used to have a slow DSL line and waited for everything. Thanks again.

Downloaded from gamershell without a problem. I was prepared to be underwhelmed by the game but so far - after the tutorial - I am impressed. Have not played this game engine before. Glad there was a demo because it really shows off the game well. Good job!

I am curious about the marketing decision to offer this one as a free upgrade to previous owners. This seems to be a whole new game. Very impressed from the manual about the scope of the campaigns & gameplay. This is a monster game.

We are glad you like it so far!

As far as the free nature of the game (to previous owners), we started this as a lose collection of modders and we came to be a team that worked in tandem to get this beast done. We learned a lot along the way, and put together something of a labor of love (and a lot of agony- hats off to other developers) for the previous owners of the game. It was a lot (a lot) of work by the current and past members of this group. If we did it right, you shouldn't even notice.

Panzer Command had promise, and we thought we could do something more with it. Hopefully we can take it even further, both in improving this game and producing something more later as a standalone game. The eastern front is my main area of interest, so I'm certainly going to try to produce some additional models/terrain for Ostfront in the future.

Enjoy it. We still do.

Thanks! We worked long and hard on what you see here.

Before there was a PCO there was just a simple upgrade. The decision was made to continue with it just being an upgrade.

Yes, this is a monster game.

Ok I've played a few turns in the demo, and one thing that stands out is that when I return to the game from ALT-Tabbing out, the game now correctly fills the screen. Good job on that; I don't know if others had that issue, but it drove me crazy in PCK.

Isn't there a hotkey that lists all the hotkeys?

Got it! You only need to tell me once!

By the way, I'm really enjoying the ability to rewind by clicking the blue bar. Looks like I'm going to bust out Autohotkeys and get this thing customized for me.

I really the Alt key view and NO GROUND BOUNCE!

Don't forget to shift + click on a message to rewind to a few seconds before the event.
