Okay, so after six turns there are quite a few task forces on the seas, and lots of air action. You want Gotha bombers? You got them- in abundance. And really, who ever heard of a torpedo carrying Spad XIII? Fortunately, the Gothas are just as ineffective as the Avro 504s, but I am not so happy about the Spads. We will see. As it is, the Japs drew first blood, sinking one of my very many DDs. I really like the fact there are no pre-formed TFs, it makes for quite a different game.
Thanks very much Kirk, this is going to be fun

Tex I agree with you regarding SPAD XIII TORPEDO CARRYING ABILITY,so I have made another patch changing them back to just fighters, they will join the scenario now as upgrades with there new art,in there place on the Italian carriers, I have added Caproni Ca.5 well they are Italian and they were bombers,so they now have torpedo carring capability.

This second patch will be the last till at least the end of January next year.

Hi Kirk, the British Minelayer Boadicea has no capacity for mines. Similar problem with the USS Baltimore. Is it a bug or a feature? [:)]

Fast response Kirk! One question I have is about some of the aircraft ratings. I noticed my Vought VE-7 squadron on Guam several times went up against an unescorted flight of Gotha IV bombers, but they were not able to even damage one, much less shoot one down. In fact, the bombers actually shot down two of the fighters, which made me very curious. So I checked in the editor and the Gothas had a maneuver rating in the lower 30s, which I think is much too high. I think more realistic would be something like a maneuver rating of 12 to 15, with a durability rating of around 30. What do you think?

Definitely worth while Kirk! There were a few issues that you have since corrected, and now we all need time to play it out. I think most of the folks here are busy with Christmas turkey (or goose, ham, llama, etc), and haven´t had time to really get into it. Plus remember that with each new patch comes the need to start the game again, and the set up time is quite lengthy. In fact, regarding the set up, what I have decided to do is go back into editor x and set up allied task forces within the scenario for faster play in the future. I think the quality of this scenario will only come out in the new year, after we have all had a chance to play through at least the first couple of months.

That said, from what I have seen I am quite excited about it, and the art work alone makes for a great download. Thanks again Kirk for all your efforts, you have put an amazing amount of work into this and it has added a vitality to the game that was missing in the past.

Thanks Tex ok no more patches till the end of January, that should allow for gamers time to get into this huge scenario, the scenario is really stable as is,I don't think the next patch will be much more than slight improvements,I have done more art work I will include that with the January patch.[;)]

OK, finally was able to upload the scenerio along with patch, and poked around.

First impression: W-O-W!! [X(]. Talk about the ultimate big-gun naval battle scenerio!

Some initial observations -

1) I never realized how many pre-dreadnoughts the UK had.
2) Interesting that Japan's 2 starting carriers are Italian! [:)].
3) I like the addition of the big CVs as later reinforcements, but Lexington and Saratoga appear twice as BCs and CVs. In the game's database "replacement BCs" take the names Ticonderoga and Bunker Hill.
4) The number of BBs and BCs are astounding. My question is have you increased the fuel reserves for both sides? They'll both need it with so many more ships.

This scenerio has the potential to make Jutland look like a skirmish! [8D]

Early testing results clearly show that your aircraft settings are indeed making air combat more interesting.[8|]
