Lord of the Rings Extended Edition set on BluRay, a Sherlock Holmes movie collection of the classics from 60+ years ago, and another championship in the Matrix Fantasy Football Basic league!  [8D]  Now, I need to decide what Matrix game I want as my prize.  [:)]

I got socks. Lots of socks, a pair of slippers and a couple of bottles of whiskey. My family seem to think I'm an old fart that likes a drink ...

yikes! I'm guessing you mean the boardgame that is at regiment? level? Looks like a monster game, but even though I don't play boardgames, I was reading an AAR of it and was really intrigued by it.

Is that the monster GMT game? I got it last year...I'm waiting for the expansion. Lovely counters...big maps...though still haven't played it yet.

I got some WH Smith vouchers from the girls, so I picked up (today)

Anthony Beevor - Berlin:The Downfall 1945
EPF Lynch - Somme Mud
Hugh Bicheno - Razor's Edge

Looking forward to all 3 - especially Razor's Edge - it has some stonking looking maps and estabs for the various battles.

"Shattered Sword" (it is as good as they say BTW)

HPS' Naval Campaigns - Midway

"A Long Year of War", by Raffaele Moncada - about the war in Central Italy 1943-44

"Defend the Realm: The Authorized History of MI5" by Christopher Andrew

The Pathfinder Beginner Box, for the tabletop RPG "heir" to "Dungeons & Dragons 3.5E"; I plan to use this in my volunteer after-school activities with kids.

...And a really "free" gift: the "Third Age Total War 3.0" mod for Medieval II TW that turns the game into a re-enactment of the War of the Ring (taking inspiration both from "The Lord of the Rings" and the movies). A masterpiece of modding and a very addictive game.
