Very sad. Unfortunately, for many reasons, this sort of tragedy can occur during the holidays, which is very hard on families for years to come.

RIP. I enjoyed Herwin's posts because I'm a fellow system analyst type geek.

My condolences. I am still new to the game, but when I saw this thread, I recognized his name immediately, as his posts came up in almost any search on land combat.

Strange to realize his lectorates will be missing. I enjoyed his learned remarks and thoughtful insights.

It may be interesting for some to have a view on his broad interest and varied career:

I rarely understood his contributions, but the small amount I did grasp is a large mass of knowledge.  We'll miss him.  Good bye Harry.[:(]

I have learned the sad news that Harry Richard Erwin (Herwin), passed away on New Years Eve.

My condolences to the family and friends of Harry, a truly gentleman that touched my life over the last five years, while sharing our hobbie and good advices thousands of kilometers away.

Rest in peace, amigo.
My condolences as well. I will miss Harry very much. Am having a Mass said for him. He's more than worth it.

A terrible loss for the hobby and this forum. He was always a voice of reason in the midst of what sometimes borders on chaos... He'll be missed.
