19 MAY
First time that I fire Gamelin. 25 pps...I could have had two more french divisions instead...but it seems to be interesting. The CC goes up to 85%, 5% better that the british. Not bad.
19 MAY. 9A sector
Again, I am surprise to see that the german threat is serious here. I thought that I will not have to provide reinforcements there. I will have to...[&:]
20 MAY an overview of the front. Really strange, I thought that playing this variant would see the "south front" to be a secondary one...not at all. Major mistake
21 MAY 2A sector. Not good at all [X(]
The french command and control is really better. Thanks to Weygand.
Losses : Ger 7 %, Fr 11 % Brit 2 % only
A new div is sent to the 9A
21 MAY 1A sector
I fear another drop of paratroops. Now all my HQs are above good units and key citys in the rear are occupied.
First retreat here but in this case I have two new line of defenses that have been prepared. Those units in the front line will move to the rear and be the reserves for the nex tweek.
21 MAY an overview of the "north front". I have a problem here also. It broke too easily. The 9th panzer will have a hard time to get supply until Antwer falls but still...
cool aar. i think the french commander in chief is a little too optimistic. the best ally of yours is german passiveness in some sectors. i don't know what you think but i believe that Vic could have done a little more to make the french campaign a little more tense.
As the commander in chief of the allies, I will tell you that I have been optimistic but now I fear that my front can break in a few places anytime. [:(] I don't have time this evening but I will post the next few turns tomorrow. Things turn ugly for the allies.
My opponent did let some sectors quiet because he attacks only with the help of the Lutfwaffe. Not a bad strategy to keep his losses below 22%. Attacking the BEF without air support would be costly in men.
Tense ? for the german side or the french one ? For my part, I think that playing the allies is enough tense for sure ![:D].
tense for the german. my experience is if he plays at the same level as you, he should be able to achieve victory rather comfortably. that is not the case with the polish campaign.
I agree. When you have enough experience playing the german, the case yellow scenario is quiet easy to win compare to the polish campaign that is more tricky.
