Speaking of mistakes, in my other game (have to get that AAR in gear, I've made two really bad mistakes. 821 mannaged to cross the Dnepr on turn 2 near smolensk and I forgot the all or nothing rule when evaccing AFVs, so I just blew up a lot of my Leningrad production (though thankfully not the KV factory, think it was Yak-4s and BA-1s

For future reference there is no point in evacing the BA-10 factory, actually its counter productive, cuz all things given u will lose production. It stops producing in Nov IIRC and doesnt upgrade to any thing. So might as well let it produce as long as it can in Leningrad.
If its the Yak 6, u have unknowingly done the right thing. Since when u evac just 1 tank/aircraft factory, it will be repaired in around 33 turns and would take another 3 turns to max out production. So its done by turn 36/37 and as good as if u had evaced all 4, by april 42.
Since it doesnt enter production until dec 42, there is actually no point in evacing more than 1.

Guess i should write an optimized evac guide some day....

Hope it helps,

yes Im suffering some serious growing (or remembering) pains vs 821. Him crossing the Dnepr on turn 2 really put the west in a tough spot. Here's hoping I can get some lucky mud or something.

As far as I can determine, the only way to find these things is by checking every single fastory via the productions screen. AFAK there is no way of seeing the start and stop dates via the city production screen, which I find extremely annoying. The cumbersome checking via production and then back to the city screen to evacuate just drags things down. Or is there a smarter way that I have not found?

Yes, please, that would be helpful. You have obviously spent some effort on studying the subject. Me, I mostly just evacuate what's there, beacause it is just too awkward to check.

No smarter way sorry, Tarhunnas. I sat down studied it in depth, made some conclusion based on that and is then relying on a pretty good memory.
