Explanation:
I knew that obvert had read my AAR against PJH, where I emptied PH on day two. So it was absolutly certain, that he'll set a primary mission on naval strike. Regarding all those SCTFs, I expected his naval bombers to be occupied sinking them with no time left for the port. So I left my 6 damaged BBs in port, but what would they need CAP for? So
ALL my fighters were set 0%CAP and on Escort!
Manila:
His port strike on Manila was quite effective, with many subs heavily damaged and 4 sunk. So I expected another day of strikes and transfered all fighters to Manila, set them on layered CAP and on 100% CAP:
