OOB.

Due to Sir Robin the SU OOB is growing and there's little I can do about it.

Frustratingly I've also not taken any other industry apart from HI as DF has evac'd just in time.

I hope to create a squeeze with pressure on Leningrad, Moscow and Kharkov area simultaneously.

Sigh. Notwithstanding Michael T, this pure runaway just isn't the way to go, guys. There's plenty of garbage units that can be left behind as pickets to slow the Axis down. Including your mech. You really need only save the infantry (and not even all of that, your crap morale infantry is expendable), mountain units, and cav. Airborne, NKVD, lol mech, AT brigades, there's not much point in saving any of that junk. (Partially excepting the airborne, but you have more of it than you can drop at any given time and you receive lots more of it at the end of the year anyways.)

Also, he mismanaged his northern defense. Pskov can be held for a couple of turns. The Luga line is no fit place to make your first stand. Or even your second one. (The next line is really Leningrad-Novgorod.)

Agreed - at a minimum you need to keep units around to stick on the panzers and motorized units so they can't refit. It's remarkable how quickly you can get their CVs down even with no real combat whatsoever.

I managed to bag 3 divisions overall before the rest scampered away.

AGS:

Lack of fuekl and strong re-organised defence along the Dnepr mean only a few hexes are gained and the bridgehead widened.

Turn 6.

AGN.

With a little more fuel and some stern orders my men smash through repeated Soviet roadblocks and positions. The rail line is not quite cut though and the Facs are all evac'd next turn.

AGC.

Still a lack of fuel so the Panzers break the Vyazma line as the infantry catches up.

Still no industry caught as it's all evac'd just in time.

AGS.

Tough fightign around the Dnepr Bridgehead once more as DF keeps strong defensive units in deep stacks next to my units.

The Bridgehead is widened though and 40 miles are now held with strong infantry in place as well.

Overview of down south as well.

Turn 7.

AGN. Leningrad is in sight and the last rail line is cut. I'm un-decided as to whether to go for the back door or the Ladoga ports yet.

AGC.

Fuel is still low. As such a slow advance of 30 miles is made nearer Moscow the Infantry is now in the front line with the Panzers.

Moscow, Kaluga and Tula still have their Industry.

AGS.

Pull back from the Kiev Dnepr area by DF.

I managed to start a partial encirclement. The main aim is to disrrupt the mass of units and to try to push for Poltava next week.
