Basically we fixed what we could like the super E's and some other issues and I redid several of the AI scripts for both sides and added some new ones to smaller scenarios
what is "super E's" problem? too strong 4Es?
sorry for unknowing
No, it refers to IJN E-type escort ships who had massive ASW capability, which was not too realistic. It was because of grouping of ASW weapons (it's one of the many things also fixed in Da Babes mod).

EXE File "AEdataUpdateS1.exe" (after renaming from ZIP) installs the files into the root folder of AE, in my case
"J:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition".
It should install the files into the sub folder SCEN, in my case
"J:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\SCEN".
People not aware of this will not enjoy the changes, and may not even notice.
To correct:
Make the exe file either install the files directly into the right folder (SCEN),
or let it install the files into a temp folder and move the files manually to the SCEN folder overwriting the original files.
In any case heed Andy's advice to back up the SCEN folder before installing the changes.
To check: if you load the game and a saved game a message should pop up asking
"Add data base changes to this official campaign (#1)? YES/NO"
Only if answered with YES the data base changes are applied.

I get the follwing error when I try to extract any of the files after dowloading them - windows cannot open the folder, zip is invalid ??? This is before I'd have to rename the file to exe from a zip, so it's not working for me [&:] What am I missing?
The files are not Zipped (compressed), just rename the .zip to .exe, if you can't see the file extensions then open folder and search options, click the view tab and uncheck "Hide extensions for Known file types"
I finally got it. I thought at first the extracted file would need to be renamed not the file downloaded needing to be downloaded as an exe instead of a zip. That's where I go off on
Can we expect an update to Scenario 23 (Alied Ironman)? I'm in the final development stages of a new "AE-Japan Set-up" spreadsheet that uses this scenario as the baseline, but before kicking off an actual campaign, I'll happily wait for an updated Scenario file!
Seriously though ...
Andy (and Team), this is a great, unexpected update. Thanks to all of you guys for your superb ongoing efforts and support!!!
