iPanzer 1942 and 1945 scratch the itch for me while I'm waiting on the iOS Panzer Corps and CTGW.
Wouldn't it be easier to get Windows tablet instead and play Panzer Corps (and TOAW3) with it? Why not?
You know what they say, don't you? About how us MechWarriors are the modern knights, how warfare has become civilized now that we have to abide by conventions and rules of war. Don't believe it.

Matti,

There are Windows tablets? I thought there were only iPad and Android tablets. You learn something everyday.

Best wishes,
Steve

What wargames do we have for iPhone? We can discuss iPad games too.
This one looks promising... I could need new iPhone to run that. Or maybe it is time to get iPad...
also

I'm sorry to say that the review I read for this game didn't seem very positive:
Pocket Tactics Mechwarrior review

But there are some good ones out there - Wesnoth, Phantom Leader, Battle of the Bulge, Battle Academy, Combat Mission Touch, etc

Windows Tablet I think uses a different OS and won't run a lot of or most windows games.

Yes and I think this is the wave of the future. The windows tablet has a keyboard the attaches to it. On down the road I can see it replacing my laptop. The one I saw at best buy was being sold at $1400. Blackberry also has a tablet.

There are a couple of tablet like systems using windows.

One set runs Win8, are basically touchscreen full function laptops.

The other uses WinRT and is designed for CPUs that are similar to other tablets etc.

According the Wikipedia, tablet versions of Windows XP aren't much more different from basic desktop versions than Windows XP Media Center. Really now, doesn't anyone in here have any experiences with Windows tablets?

Those are called hybrid.

Just heard over at pocket tactics that YET AGAIN Panzer corps has been pushed back till Fall. They claim that this game has had more dates than taylor swift. I'm sure it will be worth the wait if indeed this game comes out in 2013.

Great battles medieval by slitherine is more than likely the next game the will release. While I have never played the PC version I will pick this up. Anyone have thoughts on this game?

Battlefleet has been out for the iPad for awhile and while war in the pacific is not my cup of tea it's worth checking out. It's turn based naval action. Anyone play this?

I have Leviathans. Seems ok for a quick battle game. Only just tried it.
Battlefleet I had on the PC and its fun for a while. Not great.

Great battles medieval I had on xbox and it was awful. I think it was the same game. A very poor total war copy.Got sold the following day. Hopefully will be better on tablet.
Bulge is a good tactical game for ipad.
Phantom leader got fair reviews too.

Nothing beats Angry birds though. javascript:void(AddText('[;)]'))
