Where are all of the strength factors on the Soviet units? They appear the same as the Axis.

I guess when you zoom out you lose the strength factors on the counters. Counters.........I mean units. You'd think I'm playing board
games still.

Here's the Odessa area:

Here's the condition and mission of the surviving squadrons. I'm only seeing two good ones at the bottom and they are fighters based
near Stalingrad and are out of the action more or less. I've pulled all those that will fly back to Moscow to rest up and refit etc. and those
that are in reorg are still out there in harm's way.

Wow, the fog of war and not seeing all the Axis units makes following the initial invasion hard from the Soviet perspective. Looks like he's got several pockets done or near accomplished.

I think so too. I wish no borders was off but I can play w/ it on. Old dog learning a new trick.

Yeah, he's making all kinds of pockets and since most of my stuff is still in reorg it can't move and he's catching all kinds of stuff trying
to get away. I'm not trying to defend forward or anything, it's just that his stuff is fast moving.

Here's the first two small map movies.

Attached are a couple of screen shots part ways into turn 2. I have activated the Finns in the north on turn 1. They will join the fight on turn 5. As stated in the notes this early activation plus there is no restriction on the number of ground or air units that the axis player can send to Finland opens up a lot of strategic possibilities for the Axis player. Image a panzer division or two come from the north. I have to kept Larry off balance and destroy in detail as many ground units as possible.

At present I have not set my objectives but am pushing everywhere to see what unfolds. In the end I will more than likely go with either one or two objectives before settling down on my winter lines.

Now back to the game and see if I can get this turn off to Larry in the next 48 hrs.

Here's the Murmansk area so far. John has attacked and is pushing my lines here. He's probably going to make a breakthrough.

There was some action at Murmansk. I checked out Petsmo w/ my Destroyer and found it to be empty so I sailed into port and the hex
changed to my ownership. Whereupon I sailed some FORT dudes from Archangel to Petsmo and occupied it. And since I sailed from my
hex to another of my hexes there was no invasion involved. I'm not sure that John will allow me to get away w/ that but we'll see.

I sortied the ships at Sevastapol and attacked the Romanian aircraft John just happened to have parked close to the sea. I got some
good hits for just a few ships. I'm afraid that John is going to come after me w/ his Stuka bombers now and decimate my fleet.

Here's what the front lines looked like at the end of Soviet turn 2: I've enlarged this to make it more expressive.
