Is there any reason I cannot grab the no-sound wav files, rename them to say... message_Alarm.wav and replace it as well with zero sound ?

Same with construction etc.. ?

I am a little unclear on the question.

I do not have any 'no-sound wav files' in the broom cupboard, if you want some done I can create a set if you want.

Having said that, the sound effects zeroed on the effects slider in option works now with the current update, so zero sound is now available from vanilla?

Am I missing something?

No problem. I really recommend

Construction, Mining and Suns / Stars reduced by -10dB

I tried a sound mod but that made it even worse. This solution is perfect, the sound is very subtle.

I also prefer darkmap over the low quality default backdrop.

Yes the links do work. I have no intention of taking them down or removing the files.

Now where was I with Darkverse ... after all this time no one seems to have got the trade goods working [;)]
