the icon on the desk is only a shortcut to the exe file in the WIF directory.
As long as the target file has the same name you don'ty need to change the shortcut (as in this case)

a good practice is to rename your old .exe file like.exe.bak, then unzip the dowloaded 1.0.4.1 file.

if you can't rename a file check if the computer is not hiding the extension (file manager, display options, remove the tic box "hide extension of known types" or something like that (I have it in French sorry)). Once you can see the .txt extension you can rename it to .zip

I understand that, and thank you for your insight but I have not used my game disc yet I am still using my beta files to play and test. I do not understand why anyone is having a problem. With the screens I am showing above if everyone followed them then they should be alright, people like me are not good with txt or zip but somehow I get it right.

Ok I hear the beta people snickering, yeah Bo gets it after we had to explain it to him 10 times [:D]

Bo, the Updater now downloads 1.04.1 automatically. No need to have to go through that 10 time routine again.

I like going through the 10 timer [:D]

Are you saying the updater works with Steves debugging patch also? I am having no problems but it seems other people are having trouble.

Yes, Andrew has set up the files today to be downloaded automatically. I just did it, and it worked. Port Attacks are OK again.
