Music, ahhh music. Now the set up of China. Chinese wartime music. Now, if someone can give me some directions here, I would be very, very happy because the Chinese write in characters and that's abacadabra for me... Until now, I've only got 4 Chinese songs available of which I'm convinced that they are from that time. Chinese military music? Well, I don't seem to be able to find it on the net. Of course, there are songs with titles as:

Are those Chinese war time songs? I don't know. I'm not convinced. So if any Chinese are around, I would be pleased if you can assist me...

However, the next one is a wartime one. It's still sung today (as this recording is of 2011, sung by Liu Jing Ping). It's called the "Mei Niang". It tells a story about a 13-year-old herdboy called Wang Erxiao. In order to save his villagers and wounded soldiers, the boy lied to the Japanese invaders and led them to the ambush of the Chinese army. He was then killed by the angry invaders. As the song is passed on from generation to generation, Wang Erxiao is also remembered as a hero by the Chinese people.

Now to the Chinese setup. China is very short on planes and need every man it can get armed, so nothing gets scrapped (not even the lousy FTR...). If I draw that one, it's bad luck... And of course, I've got back luck. Here is southern China:

The CW. British WW II music is easy to find. However, did you know that during early war, the elite BBC didn't want to put Jazz and Swing on the air! Later they were forced to do so, since the English Songs on the German Radio became more popular for the soldiers to listen to than the dull and old-fahsioned BBC...

Now, for the CW, I do scrap all the 0 costs CVP... I wish I didn't, since in the CW draw, there were only 2 and 3 class CVP planes! So it will take until the first turn of 1940 to fill the CV's properly.

Now, this part of the CW draw I'm very happy with... The Italians do have some problems if they want to extend their East African possessions:

In Egypt, the Italian set up need an answer. Malta is (still) empty, but that will be solved by transporting the Sierra Leone TERR towards the port (since the Italians are going to have to move the supply unit out of East Africa first, the admiralty has time to do this. Note the two carrier planes, waiting to be put unto the fleet which will sail from Aden towards Port Said...
