How do we know it's American and not some Russian, Chinese or Canadian reconnaissance asset?[;)]

Well what kind of story would that be?

Hear that knocking sound?

It's either Aliens, Ancient Aliens, Big Foot or (did ja hear it then?) ghosts!

Wasn't there a theory that the Roswell incident was actually a Soviet recon balloon that was purposefully crashed, and crewed by small, surgically augmented people, (Which may or may not have been alive at the time of the crash) in order to generate panic among the American population about extraterrestrial invaders? I'm pretty sure I read something about that.

Yea, there was one theory like that, the problem is just how much tinfoil do you want to wrap around your head to beleive it? [:D]

AFIntel, Rather fitting name considering the subject, check
Location somewhat close to the incident in question, check
Response befitting someone who worked on black projects, with a sense of humor, check

You were flying that weather balloon last week weren't ya AFIntel?? [:D] C'mon, you can tell us!! [;)]

Twice this week the Air Force has flown 3 ship B-2 flights over the same area in Amarillo. Now they're just trolling or something!

B-2s over Amarillo? The Air Force must be tring to "persuade" Steve Cole into putting out more SFB supplements!

I thinks it cool that new things are still seen today in the supposedly secret world we live in. I read the article 'the chap who took the photos' and his view about sendind messages to other countries does sound possible.

Still it could be aliens or a weather balloon. [;)]

the initial report that the wichita sighting happend in february is wrong.
in fact the photo was taken on the 16th of April 2014.

http://merhlin.kinja.com/

so whe have two possible sightings in three weeks by two different photographers in
different locations.

things are getting interesting [8D]

The new images have a planform similar to the Douglas A-12.

It is a german Horten plane, that survived WW2, confiscated by the US and now developed further. The newest invention engineered from those Horten engineering is what we see on those pictures...

In the post above I see almost an exact image of the Avenger II, without the intakes, which leads me to believe that it is a larger aircraft with intakes on the dorsal side. Probably a next Gen Bomber prototype. The aircraft depicted in the right side picture, looks a lot like the F-117, and for some reason makes me believe it's a UAV, or UCAV.

Interesting stuff.

i´m sorry to disagree, but i dont think the second pic (the one who was photographed in amarillo) is a uav or ucav, if you go to the blog post of steve douglass you can hear radio chatter from the aircrafts (callsign sienna or senna).
this is very unlikely for unmanned crafts. (but still not impossible [:)])

also there were 3 crafts in formation, also very unlikely for "drones"

i hope we will see in the near future
