Updated the status of 2 more fixes made and added another item to list.

Seems like 2 steps forward and 1 step back in this case.

Thanks

We've added a few more items to the patch list, and are making progress on some of the other items on the list. I'll post a progress update next week.

Thanks

Updated the status of the Patch List in the first post. Finished work in items 18,19, and 20. Also worked on items 16 and 21, but both items need additional work.

Thanks

Work is continuing, but I've been out of town and not able update much. I will still be tied up until toward end of next week, but I'll be sure to post an update the following week.

Thanks

I posted a request for help in Tech Support.

I'm experiencing crashes with the latest patch of Ostfront. It's weird because I loaded the old Panzer Command Winterstorm and THAT runs fine!

These events occur on two separate computers, both with Windows 7.

I have enough computer graphics and processor power to run the game, so, I'm flummoxed.

Maybe the new patch will fix?

In the test scenario, the game crashes just at the point when a Soviet tank enters the woods and is attacked by a German 1941 squad.

Can you attach a save game just prior to the crash? but after orders are set so that I can try to reproduce?

Thanks

I'm way behind on giving update status, but we have been working on it. It's just that the items we're working on now are a bit more involved. But I think we just wrapped up another item and if the tests turn out ok, I'll update later this week.

Thanks and sorry for the delay

I know that this game isn't a priority but thank you for your diligence in continuing to work on it when you can. [:)]

I've updated the status of work items 16, 21, and 23 in the first post. Item 16 included some other adjustments that affect sighting against a target that is currently being fired on. A sighting factor penalty is applied if a unit is firing it's main weapon. We have adjusted this so that this firing sighting penalty doesn't affect sighting of the enemy unit that was the target of the fire.

We've also increased significantly the sighting of destroyed vehicles so that in more (most) cases these destroyed units will be visible to selected units.

I'll keep posted as we finish the items on the list.

Thanks

Thanks a lot for your work Rick [&o]. PCO is a great game and fixing bugs is the best choice to make it even greater.

Thanks for the encouragement. There are several of us working on it. Mobius has been working on improving several of the models and data for some of the armoured units. Qwixt and mgarnett are also starting to work on some of the work items in the patch list.

It's a side endeavor for all of us, but we work on it when we can.

Thanks

One thing that is does now is place a dust cloud where a shell hits an intervening ground feature that protects a hulldown target. The dust cloud at the right is because something fired at the tank at the far right but hit the ground instead. The ground doesn't have to be right next to the tank to provide hulldown protection as can be seen.

I don't have any progress to report this week. I was out of town a good part of last week. We are also down to some challenging patch items. I've started looking at the Scenario editor item, but I can see that i need to do some refresher on html, xml, and javascript to make progress on these items.

But I will keep you posted.

Thanks

No material progress this past week. I did end up ordering a reference manual on Javascript to help me get up to speed on that technology. But it will take a bit of time. Thanks, and I apologize for the delay.

Thanks
