Finally I have found the method to do the right rotation of the tank turret. Was a hard battle but with a victory.
The mod is at good point,i think to release it,with 2 scenarios at the moment, within this month at the latest by November.

Right, seem that after an initial enthusiasm the interest for this game is decreased.
My intention is to increase this interest with a mod that can reproduce the ASL scenarios.
For this purpose i have created almost all vehicle,Leaders and Squad included in ASL.
Are excluded all the big gun(SP or not),since this are used mainly off map.
I have created also a series of ASL map reduced, which means that there is the reproduction of the ASL map terrain but not the matching of each exagon(the dimension of the ASL maps is different from HoS).All the map from 1 to 13 are ready ,than there are others like the 40,17 etc.
More than 200 units are added but only German and Russian. The minor country are exclude also because there are so few scenarios with the Romanian,Italian and Hungarian.Another story is to add the Finnish but here we have winter rules (like sky) not covered by this game.
I hope to find a method to post all this material in a few months.

What you are doing sounds fantastic, if you manage to achieve your goals the popularity of this game would soar. Good luck with the project; I know that a great many people have been waiting for something like this for years. [:)][:)][:)]

Looks great - but I've never seen such initial enthusiasm for a game disappear so quickly. I've had little time to play it in the past few months but I thought no worries as so many mods are being worked on it will be even better when I get some time next year. Then the forum just seemed to die. What on earth happened?

There are some of us that are new to the game and still playing with the editor and seeing what this thing can do. Hopefully the lull in posts here is just the extended summer weather blues. Too much sun means less posts.

I'm with Hobbes here, as I have never seen such a busy forum go so silent so suddenly. It was bizzare!

I agree with you. Many people have waited this game. Many activity on the forum at the beginning and now all is quiet. With the announcement of the nice Acropora's mod, I thought people will be back.

I think that this game need new scenarios to keep alive the forum. In addition to this the programmer could add something new or announces some new chapter.

It would be great if there was a short guide on how best to make a scenario so we could avoid some of the trappings that the game has without finding them by trial and error. The sticky editor guide was most appreciated by myself but there could always be more. I was just going through the units in the base game and trying to figure out what would best represent an aufklarungs, jager or a 1942 pz grenadier squad, as the squad makeup can be quite different. The 1942 PzGren squad has an extra light MG in it and should it be represented as a squad with higher firepower and one support weapon MG or a lower firepower squad with two support weapon MGs.

Those that have been making mods and scenarios for this game are much appreciated but without help so that we all do not have to re-invent the wheel and figure things out on our own might get more people into trying their hand at making scenarios ect. I agree that it would be nice to hear from the developer as to what they are working on and how many of the concerns/inquiries mentioned can be addressed in updates/patches ect.

With my mod to chose the squad becomes much more easy.If you look the picture on post 1,you have,in the order, the conscript 4-3-6,4-6-7,4-6-8,5-4-8 and 8-3-8 ASL squads scaled to HoS value. So to "translate" the ASL scenarios into HoS becomes more easy. For sure we can't expect to have a 100% reproduction of the ASL scenario, but we use ASL like a source of ideas of HoS.I hope that all works well but the test with the player is the litmus test(i don't know if i have used the correct words[:D]).

I am at least a little bit familiar with SL units. It will be much easier by using those translated units. I really look forward to your mod. How long before it will be ready? Thanks for all the work that you are putting in to the mod. I have not even started looking at using mod units yet, I see 2 slots for custom units in the editor. Will the mod use those slots, and how many units will fit into each slot? I hope that we will not have to be changing files all the time in order to get a fair variety of units in the editor.

I think to be ready at the end of the month. The units added by me are, more or less, 170.In the custom you must put all the csv files, the unit are added in the art-counters folder and are bitmap.
