To be honest Yaab, I'm not really buying it. I've seen different results for the same set of air groups going after the same target for a couple of turns...

From my calculations using your data (different than stock values), also calculating Warhawks flying at 12.000ft (as from Combat report)... times to arrive over target should be:
Kittyhawks IA - approx 69.64 minutes
A-20A Havoc - 45.78 minutes
P-39D Airacobra - 51.99 minutes
Thus Havocs should be first, Airacobras second and Kittyhawks last one to the show. But maybe it was just a lucky roll, or Air HQ is present that helped "coordination".

For any analysis you need data - so I would run the same turn again - but do change something in that turn (some settings on some other base, or whatever) before saving and running replay. Run it for 10 times at least.. and then post results. (Unfortunately I am too busy right now to run the sandbox test for you).

More tests.

Dec 7,1941

Canton

5 tests:
Tojo unit broken into A/B/C to sweep Hong Kong.
All level bombers + Nates to bomb the port in Hong Kong.

Results: each time the Tojos arrived first (mostly as 9 or 8 aircraft together).

Phillipines
Takao
5 tests: Zeros A/B/C to sweep Clark Field and San Fernando before bombing raids.
Results: all sweeps went before bombings

The downside of the method is the fact that poor leaders are assigned by computer to subunits B andC. You have to pay PPs to change them, and once you recombine the subunits and divide the unit again, the same poor leaders appear. Best to keep the sweeping units divided at all times.

There's always so much to learn about this game... Sometime's it is discouraging. Still have fun nonetheless whenever my opponent finally sends the PBEM save. The thrill of a new replay.
