Allied bombing seems to be having little effect in Germany as most of the industry has been repaired during the bad weather turns. There is also allot of manpower and armaments in the pools.

Things liven up some after 20 turns of a stalemate. WA’s invade just north of Rome. They have a temporary port at the southern beach. Gustav Line is attacked a few times but easily holds, I have 12th SS Panzer broken down into regiments so I get a reserve reaction 100% of the time. I believe there have been 19 attacks and all have gotten at least one RR. So now I need to throw everything at this invasion near Rome. Key will be holding the Port and interdicting the sea near the beaches. To date WA’s have lost 56 troop ships and 665 cargo ships.

Hube and XIV Corp which has been waiting for this moment for month’s launches an attack on the beach head with a temporary port and drive the 28th US infantry division into the sea easily.
I still don’t have this special Corp set up right, but I am working on it

Turn 31 heavy fighting along the Gustov line and at the beach head. WA’s dropped paratroopers, but they surrendered after 1ss Panzer Corp attacked them with Panzer divisions. The beach was then sealed off and transports dropped 500+ tons of supplies from bases in northern Italy. 1 more MoT divisions should be able to help in the multi Corp attack next turn.

As can be seen in both battles leadership rolls are very important. All most all the battles the German CV goes up allot.

In the Mediterranean Theater of Operations US V Corp lands in Southern France and the Wehrmacht moves the 14th Army to contain the beachhead in check.
In Italy WA’s attack the Gustov Line, but are held again.

Are you reducing the TOE of the fort units, or are you taking the manpower hit on filling them up with soldiers? Counting 35+ in Italy
I hope that Cv on the Paras is a result of FOW.

Noticed you keept the priority on the N. Europe Coastal Garissons at 1, i think it's worth it in 44 to up their priority... you can get 3 CV per brigade instead of the poor 1 CV showing in the screenshot by just giving them some supplies.

How does the interdiction picture look in the north?

Not bad, I have chains of depots set-up.

You can play with manpower, trucks enough and other things in Europe so at the point of attack ( with right units, SU's and leadership) a 1 Army assault force can deal with any invasion in a small area for a very long time.

I am not going to drive him off beaches in Northern France, but I can hold the ports and lines for a very long time.
