one of my units have walked into a mine field and taken damage

Image

as you can see in the top left corner is a unit with a first aid man in it, next turn as they have just moved i use them to heal the unit in the minefield.

i'll quickly move the rest of the troops ashore then end turn so i can show the next unit to use

the move goes well, i'm next to the bunker now and the combat odds look like i will destroy it in one go, as long as i don't miss, which does happen

as you can see most units have different weapon for different tasks, all have basic options, and can be healed or repaired if a none human unit, then all units can be resupplied with ammo and fuel, so plenty to do and this ends the basic guide to the game...

next if needed is the intermediate guide for more options and commands, once mastered then the advanced guide can be done, if enough want it, have bought it, and are playing it...

like i've said before, it's a simple to get to grips with game, with some hidden depth and plenty of options for the casual gamer, or first time player, for the more advanced of you, then ramp up the difficulty and don't cheat like i am[:-]

and enjoy what is a good little game[;)]

so now a few turns on, we learn how to repair and re supply units, that are either damaged or need supplies

Image

this now comes under the heading of an intermediate guide for the game, as you can see i click on my supply truck and i have to options, supply or reinforce / repair and the units in my range i can give the help to, which is atm 3 units, once used they will be repaired or re supplied but wont be able to move again this turn

now we move onto advanced attacks

Image

as you can see the single unit attack wont take the town from the damaged unit defending it, from the combat odds displayed, remember this is a guide not what will or could happen, as you can miss and not do any hits at all

now with support the attacks goes in, and in the German round they also fired and got return fire so lost one point, so support wasn't needed anyway but always makes the combat odds better

Image

so i attack and take the town, my first base on the coast to be taken

i take the town with one of my funny tanks, Sherman's in skirts so they could swim ashore, most sank like lead balloons tbh

Image

notice also from the town being taken my resources have also gone up, with each town taken, i get more supply....

which i'll need as my tank ran over some mines coming into it[;)]

more work for the mind clearer's

we have seen 2 unit attacks get combat bonuses, now we try and do a flank attack

Image

which could do 8 damage for 1 to us, because of the flank and support the other troops are offering...

i take out the trooper in the top right of the picture with an air strike then finish them off with a infantry attack, plus send in air units to weaken units else where before my flank attacks goes in, now for sure i will win this engagement

as yet i have yet to use my mortar which is sitting just left of the picture, as i couldn't get it into range quick enough as yet.

a weaken enemy is one less to worry about

and now onto the next things, unit abilities

Image

first entrench command, gives a bonus for cover for you units so makes it batter in defence...

as you can see but it's greyed out a charge command also, then there's a xp box for experience, a ammo box to show you how many times you can fire before you need to resupply, and 2 boxes with numbers 15 and 24, but that's for the advanced lesson or guide what ever you want to call it

so as you can see, for a basic game there's a lot more than at first glance, i could go on and keep saying it's a great game and for £3.00 got and buy it, stop reading this and go play it, you will enjoy it[8|][;)]

as iv'e only just got on to the intermediate stuff, there's loads more, then onto the advanced stuff later on in mission 2[&o][&o][&o]

but for that you will have to buy it as i'm not going to spoil it for you, this has been a sneak peek at what you think is a small and basic game, has hidden depth, hope you have enjoyed it, please feel free to comment and ask any question you like, while the developers may not be active, i'm always around somewhere[8|][;)][8D]

a few mortar shots soon finish off a already damaged unit, and is great for support fire if in range and can weaken a unit for others to attack

Thanks Zak. Looks like they've added some stuff compared to the first game.

Just pulled the trigger on the Android version. At this price I might as well buy the PC version as well especially as they chuck in a Steam key as well.

it's a bit quirky in places, and has a few odd bits and bobs, but for the price it's a bit of easy fun, hope you enjoy it
