There is now a Steam version of the Historical Flags and Symbols mod.

The only difference between the Steam version and the Matrix version is that one is installed inside a set of Matrix folders, and the other is installed inside of Steam, Steam Apps, and Common folders. So if you need one version and you install the other, it won't show up.

I'm going to retro-fit the link to the Steam version into my original posts, but for future reference, the current Steam version of DCWtP Historical Flags and Symbols can be downloaded here:

This is NOT a Steam Workshop mod. Like all of my other mods it is designed for MANUAL installation. If you ever go into Steam Properties and check the integrity of your local files (which you should probably do from time to time), it will overwrite the mod with the original files and you will have to reinstall the mod.

Thanks a lot for your work on this, looks great! I just redeemed by Steam key and will try your new Steam version later

BTW - this is the stock map on your screenshots, correct?

The map in my screenshots is the stock map.

My mod can be added to anyone else's map graphics, but I chose to use the stock map graphics since that's what most people will use.

Thanks - I haven't looked at the game in a long time and while I don't like the Fall Blau map, the one in your screenshots looks nicer than I remember the stock map to be.

I've added Dropbox links to the first post in this thread so that the mod can still be downloaded if I run out of bandwidth in my Box account.

I've also updated the swastika-free part of the mod. It now uses the WW II German Army headquarters symbol. I've kept the Wehrmacht eagle images from the earlier versions but marked them with _alt extensions on their file names.

Thanks very much for making this mod -- it really adds to the game. Are there any mods for replacing the troop unit drawings in WTP? I have the Case Blue and Barbarossa mods for this and they are really great but don't work with WTP. Thanks for your reply.

I prefer the Nicholas Eskubi artwork because it makes the unit types easy to distinguish at a glance, without looking at them directly.

If you want that kind of mod for Warsaw to Paris you'll probably have to make your own. The paths will be different, and you'll need complete sets of cropped high quality photographs for the Poles, Dutch, Belgians, French, and British. Other nationalities (e.g. Canadian and New Zealand) will use the same images as the country they model their army on. That's a lot of photo editing, and it's probably why no one's done it that I'm aware of.

I have followed the directions
copied the folder called steam to my Programs x86/steam
over wrote 38 files

I don't have blue Luftwaffe units nor the Polish roundel

So I guess I don't understand this,
I am kind of computer stupid, someone please give me line by line directions?
thanks
