Naval Interdiction

Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

For the Second turn the Axis have not flown a mission during his phase seems ive shut him down.

Question/ Right the Axis aint flying and Naval Interdiction is abstract what are these engagements that show up in thee battle report, my aircraft are esentially hitting nothing yet there is a battle report.

Request/ I think the Italian scenarios need Dragoon included

Doesn't that kind of make it the 'Not just Italy scenarios'?:)

How's about a 'Complete western Med 1943-5' scenario guys?

I thought about it but I can't think of the way to manage the split of the theatre into two separate theatres divided by the Maritime Alps in late Sep 44. The 1st FF & 7th US Army vanish elsewhere but there is no way to synchronise that with Army Group G in a realistic manner.

I'll probably sart another thread about it at sometime. So back to the matter in hand Air Naval interdiction and related interceptions and combat. At sea the in the air above the Mediterranean the chances of being detected would be high unless you were on the deck but conversely your chances of finding anything to interdict would be zero. Are we seeing this?

The next turn the same unit was ablbe to fly through my CAP and interdict a couple of hexes. It was raining.

Question/ Does weather effect Naval interdiction or only interception

Affects both, should be less value to the interdiction in rain
