Gary Grigsby’s War in the West 1943-45 is the most ambitious and detailed computer wargame on the Western Front of World War II ever made. Starting with the Summer 1943 invasions of Sicily and Italy and proceeding through the invasions of France and the drive into Germany, War in the West brings you all the Allied campaigns in Western Europe and the capability to re-fight the Western Front according to your plan.

When double clicking on an airbase hex, you immediately get the airbase detail window which I like very much and use. However, if any ground units are in the same hex, the double click frustratingly doesn't work. I have to move my mouse up to right panel and click on small icon of airfield to get the same screen. This is not great when I'm doing my air planning phase, as I often toggle units on map off, so I can focus exclusively on my airbases, and air groups.

Solution: would like an option to choose what double click will do, i.e. keep as same or always open airbase detail screen whether ground units are open or not. OR, when toggle units on map is off, then a double click will always open airbase detail when ground units are not visible.
