Jump map a little larger
Jump map persistent until closed
Unit viewer and hand book accessible when working in edit organization.
Option for fast A.I.
Linked Campaigns can be constructed without text editing.
Hex Outlines and Contours visible at the same time.
Music needs to be changed th be appropriate for the ME not WW2.

There's now a Mod in place, packaging a set of background music readily to be activated with the use of JSGME. Get it from HERE.

Again, sorry about that.

I believe you can turn those off from the menu.

Left click on a unit and have unit orders in a drop down menu (top of stack, bottom of stack ...).

Slitherine PBEM++ system. I'm actually surprised that it wasn't put in given how popular this game appears to be pbem. New victims to the game would probably find the slitherine PBEM++ system easier to jump into. Think of all the victims you could cultivate[:)]

variable turn endings. Don't know if this is doable but scenario's are always more fun when you don't exactly when the end is coming. Some are still in doubt at the end and being able to battle a couple more turns would be good.

I actually prefer the classic pbem approach. Perhaps pbem++ and regular pbem could be a choice as it is with Flashpoint Red Storm.

After playing 5 or 6 scenarios and i'm 6 battles into an LCG i think it would be really nice to have more feedback and options after a battle. JTCS suffers from this also the after battle stuff is pretty generic and could use some window dressing. Maybe add some tabs so you could look at the numbers, KIA's for you and your enemy, ability to look at the map after battle, more personality in the battle summary. Not really sure what i'm asking for but the after battle stuff seems kinda blah.

Set-up zones. It would be great to have the ability to identify an area within the map that forces could set up in.

In addition, being able to choose your own units.

If you put those 2 together then you have an excellent way to generate quick battles for head to head or single play.

The above would result in much increased playability and, in my view, be a great selling feature.

You could use the editors included in the game to quickly generate battles?

I could quickly throw together a package of random scenarios if you let me know what you're looking for.

For me I was just thinking about free setup variants of the LCG scenarios.

Did you know...

It is possible to open up the LCG scenarios and save them as scenario files?

Open the scenario editor
Choose the SCL option from the drop down for file type, which will display the SCL files
Choose the one you want to convert
Save as scn file
You may have to reformat the date
Done!

I was thinking more of having the ability to place units your self. So if you were attacking you would choose your own locations to place units. The same for defending. This provides the game with another level of interest for players and adds to head to head play.

The scenario designer would specify an area of the map within which units may be set up by the player or players.

Air units should not suffer the results of artillery fire.

Ah, I see where you're going with that.
