It should be a draw. Xavier has used an older version of the scenario where the Victory points were messed up. This is rectified in the release version.

Nice AAR Sir!
To fight and conquer in all our battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting.

Thank You for doing these!

xautrecht, now that you've played as American and German, what did you think about the AI?
Is it a worthy opponent?
Thank you again for everything you have done.[:)]

The AI is a worthy oponent, don't worry.
AI will never do some "stupid mistakes" like forgetting about one unit because the unit is on a remote part of the map and you forgot to scroll to this location, leaving Broken+ units near enemy units (ie direct elimination) if there is an escape path, etc...
Of course it's still a machine, AI lacks bold moves, decoys, etc... but if you don't play properly it will kick your a.. in a very efficient way, trust me.

This game is the closest thing to SL/ASL/AST/etc... and very good in solitaire mode (handy if you are left alone with your games picking dust on the shelves).
I really like it, and will recommend it without a second thought.

Thanks again for your reply.
I play SL / ASL / AST / from about 25 years and I'm happy to finally have a worthy opponent (AI).[;)]
As soon as the game comes out I will buy right away (I also really like the program because there is an editor).

I certainly would have lost this battle, which is a good thing. I assume C&C rules are optional and AI must abide by them, too. Obviously, this scenario was tested and well balanced. But from this short take, it seems a tough AI for players of average skill level and certainly up to or perhaps better than HPS fare.

Thanks for the very informative AAR.

The game supports 4 levels of difficulty for Computer vs Human Player type of play (this feature is not used for Hot Seat game):

EASY– The human player is always in control of all of his units for the duration of the scenario. The Computer player follows the Command and Control rules.

NORMAL– Both the computer and human players all units for both sides are always in control.

HARD– Both the computer and human players follow the Command and Control rules.

VERY HARD – Computer Opponent is always assumed to be in command of all of its units for the duration of the scenario. The human player follows the Command and Control rules.

NOTE: All scenario were design with HARD difficulty in mind (meaning The human player side plays with Command & Control rules).
