Will loading the patch effect all the custom scenarios? I mean will it erase them. If you have a mod in use will that be effected?

The patch doesn't affect any scenarios.
The patch does overwrite the terrain.pg. So back that file up before applying the patch.

As noted above, there are some changes in the new terrain.png, which the game will look for. so you'll want to "marry" your new graphics to the new default graphics and create a new modified file.

Terrain.png will be overwritten so make sure your mod terrain.png has been backed up. Also scenario 26-28 and Revenge for Bruno scenario will be in this package but are the same as the ones from Submitted Scenario thread.

If you see your old terrain.png in the game, then you didn't rename the terrain.png.
In my graphics folder i have:JumpMap.bmp,terrain.png(my color mod),terrain original.png(the original of the game),terrain-my(a copy of my color mod).
When i apply the patch, the terrain.png(my color mod)is not overwritten,is this thing that seem strange. And have you a readme file with the new features?I don't have,as a consequence i have some doubt on the fact that the patch work correctly.

I use a 1024 x 768 res on my PC, the new patch stretched the results box , so whrn I select an AFV the start stop AFV buttons are covering the results box. Its playable but I think it looks bad, you should be able to resize or switch off the results box

please please add a clickable menu item that simulates having the control key ptrssed so I don't need the keyboard

check when you can, I put diff stuff on now and then

Agreed. I need to be able to play this game without having to put my beer down.

There's plenty of space where the buttons are for a "select all" or "add another."

Incidentally, I seem to be getting some juddering and blank boxes where the admin results go - though this may be my fault for playing on a low spec machine.

Excuse my ignorance. I have JSMGE to move mods around. If I take the custom mod out and replace it with the default terrain.pg I can then download the patch and from there I can change out the terrain.pg with the mod. And I presume there will be no issues. What do you mean by creating a new modified file?.

I use JSGME. I noticed after applying the patch that the mod was not applied anymore. So I went into JSMGE removed the mod and added it again. That worked.

Seems JSGME recognizes when teh program changes?

(HA! I knew you didn't just rename your current terrain.png. You made a backup copy of it! And you left a valid terrain.png there, which explains your not crashing on booting up.)

Did you try the simple things... (I've lost track!)

What version does your TOTH say it is? (menubar --> Help --> About Tigers...)
(i.e. are you sure it actually patched at all?)

Do you have any other installs of the game?
(i.e. Are you patching the wrong install?)

Did you install the game to the default directory?
(i.e. Is the patch working in the right place?)

Your method is normally sound. The only kink is that the new file is slightly different. And TOTH will look for those difference when drawing some things on the screen during play.

For example... One change is a red mark at the top right... at some point, your TOTH executable will write that section of whatever terrain.png that is installed, to the screen during play. Yours will probably be blank (due to the masking in the file), but Peter expects you to see red on some pixels in the game. This is probably the biggest/most important change in the file. The others that are known (see above), sound like tweaks and fixes.

I'm not sure the red Mark be used by the game but be here to identify manually the version
Can Paulus or Peter could confirm the changes and utility of red part ?

Yes I think the red date is to manually identify the version of the terrain file. The changes was those you mentioned earlier, mask and border colours, plus a wrongly associated Assault Fire to Russian 1st Line instead of the correct 1st Line SMG.

acropora I think E has given you a good set of tasks to try and get the update installed. Otherwise it is your Operating System (Windows version) or Virus Protection Program that hinders the Update to install correctly. Check if parts got installed, version of TotH and version of terrain file. I recently updated my Virus Protection program to a newer version and man that has really given me all sorts of problems

Paullus, why wall and hedges are not added to the game? From a first superficially thought, are like a wood or bulding but without a blind hexagon if targeted from high level.
Seem not so difficult to be programmed(always with a superficial opinion).

They are quite hard to programme. New rules needs lots of changes to the code. Therefore not in the game at the moment butmaybe later.
