I've lately gotten into an old military channel series called Battle 360. It's a 10-part series about the Enterprise's campaign in the Pacific, and also uses a lot of CG, though they also re-use a lot of it...

This one is from 2008 - as the opening screen shows. It is the first time, however, that I see it with English captions. When I showed it to my friends I used to narrate what was happening based on my knowledge of the battle [:)]

Well, that's a hell of a lot better than just any old cook. [;)]

in reference to his signature:

"Yes darling, I served in the Navy for eight years. I was a cook..."
"Oh dad... so you were a God-damned cook?"

(My 10 years old daughter after watching "The Hunt for Red October")
Better show that daughter "Under Siege", in which Steven Segal plays a cook. A truly God-damned cook! Just ask the terrorist leader! [:D]

No, not a God damned cook but:

Jordan Tate: So who are you? Are you-you, like, some special forces guy or something?

Casey Ryback: Nah. I'm just a cook.

Jordan Tate: A cook?

Casey Ryback: [whispering] Just a lowly, lowly cook.

Jordan Tate: Oh, my God, we're gonna die.

[:D]

I love that film. Tommy Lee Jones was superb.... as was Elena Eleniak's(?) bottom.

Of what? Are you referring to CGI battle re-enactments or Elena Eleniak's exquisite derriere?

Not to mention they re-use a lot of the same descriptive dialogue. "Dead in its sights", for example. Pick a new turn of phrase, please please please...
