Allies at least had drugs and DDT to combat malaria while the Japanese had virtually nothing.

In fact Japan had tons of quinine, one of the islands she captured (Java?) was one of the main producers. It was more a matter of distribution for Japan. Pfft, there's a revelation, Japan with distribution problems.[:'(]
